As an excuse for me to practice the route to Maisie's school, we took a Sunday drive to a town on the coast of Lake Geneva (Lac Leman to the locals) called Vevey. They hold a small market on Sundays and as you can see it was another glorious summer day here in Switzerland.
We walked along the water's edge and saw people swimming among the swans, boats and art work. Here is a photo of a sculpture by one of our favorite artists Claes Oldenburg, and a photo of us lounging on seats out on the rocks.
As we walked along we found a beautiful carousel which was built in 1900 and of course, Maisie had to have a ride.
.

It was a perfect last day of summer vacation!

Sweet!!! You look very at home. Good luck in school, Maisie. What do you eat over there?

Thanks Tracy! That's a great question that is no doubt on the mind of anyone who has been responsible for feeding Maisie over the years.... I'll let her answer.
Hey Maisie! How was the first day of school?
